Wild Day Out

A full day of outdoor experiences to fill you with a new found love for nature. You will start the day with a guided walk into a woodland, after a light snack you will begin food preparations for a lunch cooked over the fire. While the lunch is cooked Chloe will teach you the basic skills and techniques for wood whittling, and together you will whittle your own designed kitchen utensil. After lunch we will pack up, remove all trace of the fire and our presence and complete the circular guided walk back to our original meeting point.

Wood whittling tools, safety gloves and outdoor cookery equipment provided.

Rock Climbing Family Day Out

A full day outdoor climbing experience at a local crag suitable for top roping or bouldering. Chloe will meet you in the carpark before going on a guided walk to the rocks via viewpoints, natural formations or historical sites (depending on the location). Once at the rocks she will discuss low impact techniques that help preserve the rock, before leading a movement coaching session to guide you through specific technique and movement that will be key to succeeding on the rock type. After a packed lunch Chloe will install a top rope system which can then be climbed on. You will be belaying each other as you take it in turns to climb.

£180 based on 2 adults and 2 children (under 16)

Wild Camping Guide

An overnight stay at a permitted wild camping location. Chloe will meet you at a designated carpark to discuss the equipment and repack rucksacks before heading out into the wild. After a guided walk and some basic orienteering support you will set up camp, and rig tarps and hammocks at sunset. A warm meal cooked over the fire will finish the first day as you head to your cosy hammock to sleep under the stars. The next morning you will be greeted by birdsong and the smell of fresh coffee as you prepare a cooked breakfast over the fire before taking down the camp to leave no trace.

Forest School Birthday

An afternoon of fun in your local woodlands with a fully qualified and insured Forest School Leader (we cover all of Craven and the Eden Valley with mileage from Bentham included in the total package cost). Activities can be tailored to the ideas and needs of the birthday child, but may include fire lighting “fairy fires”, cooking over a fire (could include baking a birthday sandwich cake in the dutch oven!), slacklining, den building, campfire singing, making and using natural paints, basic wood whittling and woodland games.

£180 plus mileage from Bentham at 42p per mile.
